To ensure that this permeability was not only visual but also physical, the decision was made to enclose the pavilions with movable glass partitions. Metalglas Bonomi supplied all the metal hardware for the panoramic glazing systems, using the PA-630 profile — a parking-type sliding system that stacks completely out of sight when open. The resulting panoramic glass walls seamlessly merge the interior spaces with the surrounding landscape. A notable technical detail: the panels, standing 3.5 metres tall and located in a coastal environment, were designed with heavy-duty hardware and thicker glass to withstand the particular stresses of seaside wind conditions.
